Under Tides

Under Tides is an LBE project located in ETC. This project is a 3-player cooperative game that uses CAVERN's 270-degree circular stereoscopic screen to provide players with an immersive gaming experience. During the game, players need to use the VIVE tracker for interactive operations.

Level 1

The player will play the role of a scientific research team, using the vive controller to clean corals on the bright seabed.

The red light alarm sounds, danger occurs, and the scene goes dark

Level 2

The vehicle is out of power and starts automatic repair; one player needs to use a flashlight to observe surrounding, and the other players use the vive controller to fire bullets to attack the surrounding robots to protect the vehicle.

UI Design
Level 1 UI

The top of the UI in level one will show the player the number of corals cleaned by each type, and the total number of corals cleaned will be displayed on the left and right screens.

Level 1 Tutorial

Before the scene appears, a tutorial UI appears, teaching players that they need to use both VIVE Tracker and gun to clean corals.

Level 2 UI

The top of the second level UI will display the integrity of the submarine, while the UI on both sides will also display information about the integrity of the spacecraft.

Level 2 Tutorial

Before the second level scene appears, players will be prompted to first use the VIVE Tracker's flashlight function to illuminate the robot, and then use the gun to shoot the robot.

Warning Sign UI

When the submarine is attacked in the second level, a warning will appear to remind the player that a robot is attacking the submarine.

Before entering the game, there will be a voice to inform the players of their goals, and an instruction UI will appear to teach the players how to operate.

Level 2

When the player enters the second level, before the level starts, the prompt sounds again to tell the player that they are about to encounter danger, and the player needs to attack the robot to protect the spacecraft. The instruction UI appears at the same time.

The ship falls into unknown territory and we detect an approaching robot. Please cooperate to attack the robots and protect the submarine. Our rescue team will be here soon.

After the level starts, the player holding the flashlight needs to use the flashlight to illuminate and freeze the robot's movements, while the other players use grabs to attack the robot.
